Feria del libro en British Council School

The North American poet Emily Dickinson said: “To travel far, there is no better ship than a book”. In this vein and together with that of many other writers, poets and novelists from across the ages, the School continues in its quest to raise interest and awaken passion for reading.

That´s why, as we do each year, we have organised a Book Fair in the Library in Primary on the 13th and 14th of June. The aim was to provide an opportunity for both parents and students themselves to be able to buy books in English. There was a large selection, appropriately chosen by age group which included some of the latest publications, both fact and fiction.

Each year group visited the Fair with their teacher and their classmates. But the Fair was also open outside of school hours, until 5.30pm, so that parents could also visit.

As we do each year, we were able to enjoy a fantastic journey through English Literature. We were able to take advantage of the wide range of books, to find many new adventures to read on our well deserved summer vacation.
