Música en vena

Once again this year, British Council School students joined the Music in Your Veins hospital tour. This is a charity which seeks to improve and brighten up hospital stays for patients, family members and health workers, through the medium of live music. On the 9th of May this year, our violonchelo students from the “Cello Ensemble”, under the direction of our teacher Lucía García Fernández, performed popular songs, film soundtracks and a lot more in the Children´s Theatre at the Niño Jesús Hospital.

Combining two of the School´s greatest pillars, Music and our value of Caring, our students gave a half hour concert with theme music such as the Pink Panther and Harry Potter films. The effect was big smiles all round, not just from the children in hospital, but also from their parents.

A really happy musical afternoon which made everyone feel a whole lot better.
