At the School, our value of “Caring”, looking after others, is present in many of the activities which we organise, because charity doesn't have a specific date in the calendar. That's why, as we have done in other years, on the 14th of February, we once again celebrated a Charity Valentine's Day, because this is the best way celebrate love and helping others. This year, we celebrated by raising funds for the BIOOR grant and the fight against Cancer.

Although the 14th of February is traditionally associated with those in love, it is also becoming increasingly popular as an extended celebration of friendship, and at our School it is also associated with caring. That's why our students in Secondary have been selling flowers and bags of sweets with a tag, to be able to write a note and the name of the person receiving the present.

All the monies raised will be given to the Voluntary Association for Citizenship and Solidarity with BCS-BIOOR, the oncology research grant which the British Council School supports.

On behalf of the School, we would like to extend our most sincere appreciation to all the teachers, staff and students who have taken part in this project, as special as it is necessary, to help look after others. We should all seek to improve the World as far as we can, and this ethos which we learn now, will accompany us through the rest of our lives.
