On the 7th of November, our Primary students once again showed their support and commitment in the fight against Cancer. The School is extremely proud to announce, that after counting all the sponsorship monies, the total amount raised in the “Every Step you Take” race, reached 19.600 euros. These will all be assigned to our Beca de Investigación Oncológica Olivia Roddom (BIOOR).
We would like to thank and acknowledge the support of teachers and the whole team involved in making the race a complete success. The students arrived on time and eager to take part in what was a fun charity event. They faced up to the challenge courageously, with a determination to be admired in such young students. The commitment shown is proof that “caring”, is one of the
School´s most important values. We try to communicate this in our get together´s and in the talks which teachers and tutors give. It is a value which runs deep amongst our students.
We would especially like to thank Marta, Rafa and Pablo for organising the event and also the IT department and Esther Zurdo and Ana Soler who helped to look after the children through the day. The race day itself was a very special day for all the teachers and organisers, one which they won´t forget soon. They took pleasure in watching the children give their all in what was a festive environment, whilst at the same time taking on the responsibility of fulfilling their commitment to sponsors. Everyone was able to complete a lap of honour.
