For three days of pure theatre, on the 7th, 11th and 17th of June, the School was transformed into Hogwarts School of Magic and Sorcery, where young magicians develop their magic skills. Over the 3 days, our students, all very familiar with the Hogwarts wizard families, put on their gowns to stage “Harry Potter and the Philosopher´s Stone”. Written by the famous British writer J. K. Rowling, the production was directed under the watchful eye, of our own Drama teacher, Holly Crook.

On his birthday, Harry Potter learns that he is the son of two famous magicians, and that he has inherited all their magical powers. Doubtful of the news, he knows that he must attend Hogwarts, the famous school of magic and sorcery. Once there, he meets his best friends and fellow adventurers, Ron and Hermione. In his first year at Hogwarts, he finds out that a wicked and powerful magician called Voldemort is looking for a Philosopher´s Stone, which extends life for whoever has it.

At School, we strongly believe that Theatre stimulates imagination and that it helps to explore different situations and experiences. Through these kind of activities, we can see how our students develop self-confidence, self-worth, their acting talent and their enthusiasm for life. Students also improve in creativity and leadership skills, taking up new challenges.

As on other occasions, we have been pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of our children on stage. Congratulations on getting us all excited and showing off your most talented acting abilities! Congratulations also to our beloved teacher Holly Crook, for allowing them to dream and to grow, into all their new and exciting roles.
