Is it possible for 130 children to perform A midsummer night’s dream together on stage? And is it possible for the same 130 children to learn the text and performance in just 4 days?
Nothing is impossible for our Primary students. We had the opportunity to watch all of our year 6 students on stage performing an original adaptation of this Shakespeare piece.
Our Year 6 students had the privilege of attending theatre workshops with Pat Trueman to learn new performance techniques.
The Theatre Director, Academic, Actor, Teacher, and Speech and Drama examiner for Trinity College London, visited the British Council School once again, and helped us commemorate the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare. Trueman worked with each and every one of our students to prepare A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The experience was a fantastic opportunity for each of our students to be protagonists and work with such an experienced and accomplished theatre director.
