November has been a great month for Sports success in the School. Our students have received Champions trophies in a number of different competitions. Football, Rugby and Cross Country have been some of the disciplines in which our students have shone. And, not just because of their excellent results but also for demonstrating fair play, teamwork and both personal and collective commitment in each of their competitions.

On the 16th of November, the British Council School hosted the Tag Rugby Tournament between a number of international schools. Our Year 6 & 7 students fought with great determination to clinch the trophy. They once again showed how important the values which Rugby instills are. Values such as respect, integrity, teamwork and discipline.

Our students in Y10 and Y11, were also crowned Champions at the Junior Football Tournament organised at St. Anne´s School. They won with an exhibition of great play and exemplary conduct.

Cross Country Running has been one of the other successes this month. Our students took part in the Cross Country competition organized for international schools, which took place on the 8th of November. There was strength in depth across all categories and distances: Beginners (Year 6-7) - 800 m.; Infants (Year 8-9)- 1200 m.; Teenagers (Year 10-11) - 1400 m.; and Youth/Senior (Year 12-13) 1400 m.

Cross Country, running through the countryside, has great appeal amongst our students. It´s a sporting discipline which combines athletics with being in touch with nature. It´s a very special sport in which those taking part enjoy a day of sports competition outdoors, and they too have achieved great results.

Congratulations to all of our fabulous sportsmen and women!
