After celebrating end of Term exams, all of our Y13 students took part in Madrid´s 18th Science Week, on Wednesday, the 15th of November. In order to maximise the benefit this opportunity provides, all the visits related to at least one of the subjects which the students take; either to research already undertaken or future research planned; or related to practical tasks around the theory students are studying.

Madrid Science Week is one of the most important events promoting Science around Europe and brings together more than 600 institutions with a common objective, all seeking to promote Science and Technology to the general public.

The event is organised by the Dirección General de Investigación e Innovación and the Dirección General de Universidades y Enseñanzas Artísticas Superiores at the Consejería de Educación e Investigación in the Comunidad de Madrid and delivered through the Fundación madri+d. The event offers the general public an opportunity to get closer to the work of scientists, their research, their motivation and efforts. It also allows society at large, to get a better understanding of the latest developments in Science.
