As we do we every year, we took part in the Comunidad de Madrid, International Schools´ Cross Country Competition, with 36 sudents from Year 6 to Year 13, representing the British Council School. The race took place on the 18th of January in Alcobendas.
Cross Country has a great following amongst our students. It´s a sport which combines athletics with being out in the open, appreciating nature and a sport which is an increasingly important part of schools´ sporting programmes. This is an important event because the children enjoy a day out in the open, learn about sportsmanship and fairplay. And also, because this year, we had some great results for our students, 4th in the Seniors category and 5th in the Juniors category.
