Sport is very much part of the School´s identity. The benefits of Sport go well beyond physical wellbeing, which is self-evident. But Sport is also fundamental for the holistic development of our students because it promotes leadership qualities and helps them to meet challenges. It also enables them to learn how to overcome difficulties, improves their self-confidence and teaches them how to play as part of a team. Sport encapsulates the School´s principal values. This is why we support and promote our student´s participation in competitions, looking to develop sportsmanship and fair play, both in winning and in losing.

December was packed with tournaments and the School was able to display great talent and skills, both on and off the pitch. We would like to highlight the performance of our Year 12 and Year 13´s, who came runners-up in the 7-a-side Football Tournament for International Schools, which took place at Kings College.

Rugby is another of the School´s defining Sports. We must celebrate a very well deserved third place in the Tag Rugby Clinic for International Schools which we hosted. The winner´s cup was finally secured by Kensington, also very well deserved.

More modest results from our Year 12 and Year 13 students who took part in the School´s Cup, a basketball tournament which included some of the best schools in Madrid. Although the results were not as good as had been expected, our students participated with great enthusiasm through the tournament. They accepted their losses in a sporting manner, recovering well, and fought hard to the end.

Congratulations to everyone. Congratulations to all the students and teachers, for all the commitment shown and for proudly wearing the School colours in each of the competitions.
