Once again, for the third year, Lucía García Fernández and her violoncello students returned to the Niño Jesús Hospital, with their best music and film scores to brighten up the day for the children and the families, there. As well as exciting, well known songs, our students also involved some of the children more directly, getting them to forget for a few hours, that they were in hospital.
Combining two of the School´s great pillars, Music and the Value of Caring, the 15 students who took part in this Concert have been preparing for the event, with a lot of love and determination, since the beginning of the year. Their effort and hard work paid off in what was a great performance, which took place on the 14th of June.
The show also tells a story which connects all the different musical interpretations. The programme included music from Aladdin, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, La, La Land, We are the Champions, and many others… At the end of the Concert, our students got closer to the children, letting them see and touch the instruments, before handing out stickers to everyone.
In the previous two years, the Concert was put on through the Music in Your Veins Charity, but this year it was organised by the Hospital itself with the Entertainment department.
Our most heart felt congratulations on a wonderful success! We are sure that this kind of musical cheer helped the children and their families, spend a great afternoon and made them all feel, a little bit better.
