Before becoming Chief Executive of the British Council, Scott worked in investment banking, magazine editorial, and managed a small publishing company. Scott is part of McGill University's Global Strategy & Leadership Expert Panel, sits on The Nature Conservancy’s European Advisory Board, and advises the UK crafting platform Yodomo. He holds degrees in Finance & Economics from McGill University and in International Relations from Cambridge University.
