Talent, an ability to get on with others and openess are traits which our students take with them when they finish their school studies. This is the “British Council School's trademark signature” which they take with them. But our students also stand out because of their excellent academic results. Through the last 2015-2016 academic year, a variety of educational institutions awarded prizes to some of our students, recognising their academic achievements.

First of all, 5 of our students were commended for being amongst the 100 best placed marks in the PAU (University Entrance Examination) out of the 10,000 students who took part. During the “Academic Achievement Ceremony” which happens annually at the Complutense University, the Dean handed out certificates to our students and also awarded a Special Merit Honour to the British Council School for excellence in education.

Secondly, two of our students took part in our “Leading Programme”, organised by the Madrid Autonomous Region and sponsored by La Caixa. This is a programme open to those with the best 20 PAU 2016 marks, out of 28,000 students who applied, and in which those who are selected, then took part in a “Business Experience” programme.

And finally, another two British Council School students who received the Special Baccalaureat Prize from the Madrid Autonomous Region. This is one of the most prestigious awards in the Spanish education system, which singles out the 25 best performers who have finished the Baccalaureat stage, having taken part in a number of selective exams.

So, this has been a really magnificent year as far as results and prestigious prizes are concerned, for our Year 13 students, our 2015-2016 graduating class. We would like to congratulate all the students, their families and all those who have have worked alongside them through their years at the British Council School.
