The 7th edition of the Science Weekend in Alcobendas took place on the 22nd and 23rd of October, 2016. Our British Council School children couldn't have missed it and once again, this year, they decided to revolutionise the Science world by creating experiments and scientific demonstrations, all together, an absolute Chaos of Colours!

The Science weekend is an exhibition organised by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology at the National Science and Technology Museum with the support of Obra Social La Caixa. It is an annual event in which educational centres, museums and research centres all take part, in order to jointly foster Science and bring it closer to society.

Our students raised the level very high indeed, encouraging those members of the public who approached their stand, to actively participate using games and experiments where fun and Science were as one.

This gathering has now become one of the most important events promoting Science in the Comunidad de Madrid. Over two days, there are workshops in which Science and Technology come together in an ordinary and playful, friendly and leisurely environment, with teachers and students from a variety of learning centres, all of whom have been working on their projects over the previous year.
