In collaboration with Layos Camp, the School has organised the much anticipated trip to Layos for our Years 4, 5 and 6 boys and girls together with the older children in Primary. After 11 years running this event, the British Council School has established this activity as a true benchmark of educational experience and as a model retreat supported not only by the success of all the activities but also by the numbers of students involved.

Year 4, 5 and 6 students enjoyed all the activities available at Layos Camp (http://www.castillodelayos.es/) in Toledo. For the children in Year 4, this is part of their curriculum and it has been an extremely positive experience in order to meet and develop closer relationships with their new classmates. Most of our children in Years 5 and 6 had already enjoyed the trip the previous academic year. Once again, this trip has allowed them to assume new responsibilities and commitments, which promote self-esteem and helps them to face new challenges in a more confident way.

As a result of the different tasks organised on this course (orienteering, raft building, amongst other), we have encouraged our students to take part in group activities which develop constructive, responsible and communal behaviour. They also learn to behave independently and to appreciate values and rules around harmonious relations and to live according to these standards.
