A total of 39 students from Year 6 to Year 13 represented the British Council School at the Comunidad de Madrid Cross Country Competition for International Schools which took place last 17th of January at the Polideportivo José Caballero in Alcobendas.
The competition was split into four categories, beginners, cadets, infants and youth. Our students launched themselves cross-country enjoying the fresh air and the atmosphere of fairplay. Cross Country is a sport which is increasing in popularity and with a greater emphasis in School programmes. It is a sports recreational activity which combines athletics with being in touch with nature.
As every year, as well as enjoying a day out in the fresh air, our runners achieved some great results. Congratulations everyone.
