musica en vena

“Urgent music medical attention for patients and their families”. This was the billing on a poster at the Niño Jesús de Madrid Hospital for a magnificent concert on the 14th of March with 5 violinists, two guitarists and a pianist from the British Council School. Songs such as “Canon”, “The River flows in you”, “Meditation”, “Humoresque”, “Titanic” and “Stitches”, amongst others were much enjoyed in this well known medical centre.

Combining two of the great pillars in our School, music and our Caring values, our students performed a half hour concert including their best tunes, for the hospital children and parents. A musical celebration which surely made everyone have a better afternoon.

One of ourpupils, Leyre, together with the “Music in Your Veins” organisation organised and promoted the concert in the Children's Theatre at the Niño Jesús Hospital.  The performance included one of our teachers, Mr Marek Dabrowski, who accompanied our students showing our support at this event.
