Hello once again, to our German friends!
Between the 15th and the 21st of November, our German Exchange students returned to visit their friends in Germany. The trip allowed them to experience the class dynamic in this country and to be able to share day-to-day experiences with their counterparts. Just like the German students did, when they visited the British Council School in the middle of September.
As well as the reinforcement in language learning and participating in different classes, our students also took part in various other activities and visits to get to know Germany, its culture, history and traditions, better. As well as taking daily classes, our students were also able to visit some of the most iconic sites in this historic city such as the Reichstag, Check Point Charlie, the remains of the Berlin Wall, the Cathedral and the museums on Museum Island. This is why the School fosters these kind of relationships. We are convinced that travelling to a different country is not just a way of helping teenagers to improve their language skills, but also a way of developing their own confidence and self-esteem.
It is also a fun way of learning how to live different and unknown experiences, it develops tolerance and allows them to learn about different cultures and other ways of life, in a family environment. Ultimately, these are advantages which allow for the personal development of our students, in the globalised world in which we live. This will undoubtedly help them in their future personal and professional lives.
An incredible experience which we will certainly repeat next year.
